Overdose has a statue PDF Print E-mail

Last sunday, on 1st July at the 90th Hungarian Derby Overdose's statue was introduced to the public. The statue was made by Andras Engler sculptor, who has worked on it for months. It is made of brass, it is 82 cm long and weigths 27 kgs. It will be displayed at Kincsem Park, Budapest in the weighing room to remind the public and the visitors of the park of the great results Overdose has achieved. This does not mean that Overdose finishes his carrier!, only the management of the park wanted to show their respect to him.

It has been a while since we have heard news from him, so we decided to visit Overdose at his stable in Dunakeszi Alag, to see how he is doing and whether he is still the same Overdose as he used to be. Despite his hoof problems that occured again earlier this year in january, while staying in Dubai, he seems quite cheerful and he is still just as naughty as before, he is still trying to bite your fingers off and of course he still loves apples a lot. We chatted with his owner Zoltan Mikóczy, who answered some of our questions.

According to an article publsihed today Overdose might retire in 2013 and go to stud in Germany.
